Namkeen Sevai : If you are fed up of eating the same breakfast, then you must make this salty vermicelli once.
Although vermicelli kheer is made, but today we will make a salty snack of seviyan.
The method of making it is similar to other upma, only the main ingredient is vermicelli. Making namkeen vermicelli with vegetables enhances their taste even more.
In this I have added potato, tomato, onion, peas, capsicum, carrot and coriander leaves. You can add vegetables of your choice in it. By the way, you can also add beans, cauliflower, cabbage etc. to it.
If you do not have much time to prepare breakfast then you can make this Namkeen Seviyan as it is very quick to prepare. You can have it with breakfast, tiffin or evening tea.

To make salted vermicelli, you can buy vermicelli from the market or you can also make it at home. You can see the video of making vermicelli at home on my site.
Ingredients of Namkeen Sewai:-
- 120 grams vermicelli.
- 200 ml of water.
- 2 tbsp oil.
- 50 grams green peas
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp cumin.
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder.
- 1 tsp coriander powder.
- 1 tsp salt.
- 1 tsp turmeric powder.
- 1/2 tsp garam masala.
How to prepare Namkeen Sewai:-
Take a wok, put oil in it and keep it on the gas on high flame.
When the oil is hot, then add cumin and garam masala to it and then add chopped onions and mix with a ladle.
When the onion turns red, then add red chili powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder to it.
Now add peas and salt and mix it, put the gas on low flame and cover it with a lid.
When the peas are cooked, put the vermicelli in it and stir it with a ladle.
Now add water and cover it with a lid.
Now wait 7-10 minutes.
Open the lid, if the water has dried up then your vermicelli is ready to serve.
